“Maybe if they held their annual (vacation) conference in Barstow rather than La Jolla they could cut costs ...”

I know, what’s up with that?

La Jolla = $$$$$$. Just crazy.

At one time they were worth it!
When the WWII\Cold War generation passed on it started going down hill. For me the experience (early) allowed me to meet Freeman Dyson.

Of course these college pin head experts want the golden goose to continue to lay golden eggs.

The experts get paid about $1,200.00 per day plus expenses.

The jason program was started in the 60's and while it has out lived it's original mandate, it has morphed into what every other gummint program becomes, impossible to kill.

This is just more swamp draining, and the swamp critters that suck at the gummint teat, are screaming for more warm milk.

Offer all of them a 50% pay cut and "STUDY" if their "prestigious " gifts of knowledge continue to spew forth.

Besides, dosn't "Jason" belong in a Halloween movie?

Read the article. It’s about money and saving the elitist swamp. Reuters wants nothing to change, nothing. This is not about truth, with Reuters, it never is. Never let the truth get in the way of the agenda.

Zero won the Nobel Peace Prize given by the Norwegians!

Perhaps, but this group may be their direct legacy, and if they’ve self-selected their own members the entire time, these may be the actual heirs of the Nazi regime.

The same kind of “scientists” that pushed for the Navy to use “bio-fuel” that costs over 4 times as much as standard JP-5? The same scientists that are making “climate change” a military priority?

Perhaps, but they aren’t from the original “Operation Paperclip”.

According to the article, the groups most significant recent “accomplishment” is determining that US embassy staff in Cuba were suffering brain bleeds due to a rare cricket... that mysteriously doesn’t affect anyone else in Cuba.

Odds are pretty good some are still alive, and if they’re still agents of the US government, this kind of group is where they’d be.

They’ve won 11 Nobel prizes and conducted hundreds of government studies.

Nobel prized are like Pulitzers - they only go to liberals. Even better - they go to liberals who write a prove a point that supports liberal BS.

It sounds like the main issue is that Griffin favors space weapons and the Jason group doesn’t.

I would guess there are multiple people on FR who have presented to them, consulted with them, or otherwise are familiar with their performance. I doubt anyone who has seen them in action will object to withdrawing their funding.

Agreed; they have long outlived their usefulness and seem to have been ceded entirely to the left in the last few years, with a big shift occurring ~2002.
