Yeah, I have been on same (but not glass bottom), when I skied in the 80s. Great memories. It sounds like this might be one of the older Blackcomb/Whistler lifts that was recommissioned at Squamish as a tourist lift?
My first thought was eco radicals.

I didn’t say I was afraid of ski lifts, just that I hated riding them. Yes, the risks are extremely, insignificantly small. I’ve also flown thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of miles with no level of anxiety.
i.e. that means very little

I think this is all the fault of lacking legislation on Bolt Cutter purchase background checks. Semi-Auto bolt cutters are really assault bolt cutters and the citizens should not be allowed to have them — they aren’t really needed for hunting.

I went on one that was absolutely gulp inducing. It was in Chamonix in the French Alps. It took you up to Aiguile du Midi. It was in two stages. The first stage rises up from the valley and is very typical with lots of towers and you float above treetops. The second stage which you cannot see from the start in the valley has no towers and is way way above a glacial ice field and only ends at the summit at around 13000 ft above sea level. It was like mountain climbing without actually mountain climbing. As you approach the summit you are almost going vertically upwards. The gondola had a whole lot of cables attached to it so you felt this was one serious ride. Nevertheless all you can say when you see it the first time is holy...bleep!
Thank God no one was in them. I’m scared enough riding the “sky” lifts at the beach.
Well, they are birds of a feather...at least the leftards think so.
