They are everywhere. Harassing people, stealing, robbing, breaking into cars, you name it. These people are not your Grandparents poor and homeless. They are criminals, violent, desperate, angry, and dangerous.

California's scared cows.

Milked for Democrat votes.

It’s the truth, but not a fact. (As Biden would say).

As the Hag would’ve been to the entire country, Gavin Newsom could well be the last nail in California’s coffin. Newsom needs to be removed from office if California is to survive!

What a moron. But there are plenty of bums in the Democrat-controlled cities of Texas. Big tent encampments under bridges in Houston. Lots in Austin. Texas legislature needs to act.

Gavin.
It says as much about this brain-addled white wimp as Latisha says about the next perp we see roughing up a McD’s employee.
Yes, it is a stereotype.
But unfortunately, yes, it is a predictor.

He could be partially right, Is it hard to get welfare or food stamps in Texas? Is financial assistance set at a low rate?

What I have seen in my line of work is that for many years now all the productive folks are moving out of Ca and all the unproductive folks who want to collect welfare are moving into Ca. Ca is the easiest state to collect welfare and food stamps, and they pay out much more that any other state in the nation. So a lot of folks from down south move there to collect better financial assistance than they could get in most of those states.

But even if he is right, it does not reflect very well at all on the practices and policies of Ca. To run off all the productive and attract all the unproductive is dumb as hell.

Got to admit, if I was a drug addicted homeless criminal, as most are, I’d be in Santa Monica CA or say Venice CA too. Too hot in Texas.

Apparently a majority of the homeless people when offered a bus ticket to someplace else, picked Texas, which means that Gavin Newsome is not only blaming Texas for his own state’s problems, he is also dumping California homeless people off on Texas when he gets the chance!

Probably a lot do come from Texas... they have to go through Texas, New Mexico and Arizona as well on their way from Mexico.

Because his homeless relocation program is called “homeward bound” he is hanging his statement about Texas on the fact that people want to go there, and that they say they know someone there that they can stay with. The fact checkers did dig into the actual origins of California homeless and it is California.

There is something to that also, the weather. But they pay out good in food stamps in Ca. They might be homeless, but they ain’t hungry.

Came from Texas my a$$. I’d like to send all our illegals to CA though. The brain-dead liberals we have coming here can all go back to CA too as far as I’m concerned.

Politifact may, indeed, be trying to regain at least some credibility after completely failing to identify Warren and Harris lies about the Brown “murder”. Nevertheless, I refuse to click on their web site. it will take far more than this one ‘such an obvious lie that even they couldn’t ignore it’ desperate article to regain credibility for me to believe them.

Born in San Diego, lived a little while (8 years) in the gay, er, bay area, another 6 in LA and got out here in 2005. Are you in Collin County?

I might only be able to give him only two Pinocchios for this. Thousands of illegal aliens cross into the U.S. across the Rio Grande in Texas and then haul @$$ for the “sanctuary”, driver’s licenses and free stuff in San Francisco. Texas is only their illegal entry point.

Wouldn’t bother me if they are from Texas. Just means California is a Mecca for the homeless.

To support the claim, a spokesman for Newsom provided data from San Francisco’s Homeward Bound, a program that gives homeless people bus tickets to travel to friends or family within or outside the state who have agreed to take them in. Some homeless advocacy groups have criticized it as simply moving the problem elsewhere.

The data includes travel destinations for the program from 2004 through 2018. It shows approximately 20 percent of Homeward Bound’s trips, or about 2,400, took place inside California during that period. About 80 percent took place out of state.

Texas was the most popular destination outside of California, with 827 trips or 6.7 percent of the program’s 12,268 trips since it started. The next most popular were Washington state, at 5.8 percent, and Florida, at 5.4 percent.

In other words, the truth is the opposite: Texas’s homeless are from San Francisco.
