“What could explain this?”

The elites are just doing what Marx said in the 19th century: destroy the family, religion, and independent countries.

“The arrogance of placing our own thinking above the creators is actually quite mind boggling to me.”

Dittos— it’s the way of el diablo and fools are they who embrace it.

The rich don’t want to seem to be bourgeois — rather they want to appear be an “artist” and flaunt convention. They want to be known for their spicy views rather than their spicy lifestyle: it courage to throw it all away and live the bohemian life. These people are hypocrites and this is their way of virtue signaling their vice, that they are not stodgy and, heaven forbid, normal. They can afford to pretend and that is the safe way.

I believe that. Life is set up for them and the biggest thing they have to combat is boredom.

It is one of the problems of society.

In a healthy society, wealth should be commensurate with the level of ones’ ambition.

We have too many “idle rich” in this country, and that is not healthy in the long run.

I don’t know how to solve the problem.

Theodore Dalrymple nailed this a long time ago.

Great article.

Deseg is the best example of white poor being hurt by policies of white elites. The white elites had their kids in private schools and never suffered the impact of their own hubris.
