It is likely the radiation is just to shrink the tumor. Three weeks isn’t much. I’m looking at eight weeks for my prostate. Sounds like she is too weak for surgery. Palliative move?

They want to, by any means necessary, get her to live past November 3, 2019. Past that point, it's within the election year threshold.

They mention the radiation but she also a stent put into her bile duct. I wonder what’s up with that?

If the pancreatic cancer is blocking your bile duct, they put a stent into the bile duct to open it back up. Then they try to treat the tumor with surgery, chemo, or radiation. However, there is very little success.
My dad had to have it done, and then they did surgery. He lived just 3 months.
