It’s been a while since I viewed the video but that’s my recollection also. Also the shooter had been knocked to the ground and his perception of a “retreat” may well not been as clear as it is to someone viewed a video from a high vantage point.
The damage was very minor. This was in the 1970’s when cars had real steel bumpers.
Everything is situational. If it's a stranger you disengage and de-escalate if all possible.
If it's someone you know or know of, who knows you, and you expect them to try again...then that situation is different from the other one.

Here’s what should’ve happened:
Drejka: “You’re parked in a handicapped spot, and your car doesn’t have a handicapped sticker.”

The logic in your argument or the states, which ever you’re using makes no sense. Time and again I’ve seen it here and heard from gun owners: When you must shoot, shoot to kill. Period. A bullet entering the body at any point will hit vital organs, sever nerves, cause internal bleeding and shatter bone. All of which can be fatal.

he brought that on himself. i’ve never once checked to see if the folks parked handicapped have a sticker or tag. I don’t care. It does not affect me.
