Or high capacity fuel tanks. And for the electrics, no more long life batteries.

Still waiting for the ecowankers to make their demands. Then we'll get the solar/wind power cars we've all been clamoring for. 😁

"Isn't the entire concept of driving stock looking cars at extreme speeds just an invitation for young people to drive too fast on the roads?" Brilliant point. The NRA gets vilified for promoting the safe use of firearms, while virtue-signaling NASCAR encourages the absolute misuse of cars.

I guess they think there werent enough empty seats at the Bristol night race. For years I had season tickets for the Bristol races. Then Nascar management changed directions, successful track surfaces were altered, cars became cookie-cutter clones of each other, and the rules began changing on a weekly basis.
I have plenty of other things to occupy my time now. In fact, I just remembered the dryer lint trap needs cleaning.

NASCAR is killing itself just like the NFL is with their lurch to the left and supporting all these progressive SJW causes.

Has NASCAR had recent leadership changes? The wrong leaders could be sending a wrong message.

Wonder how long it will take for NASCAR to notice the number of people not engaging in their sport.

There ain’t no 2 door cars racing anymore...The sheetmetal today is just that...full sheetmetal....They aren’t even the contours of street cars anymore...If you look at a NASCAR race car from the front, the side panels have no curve to them...Just straight down sides...

Nascar has been hemorrhaging sponsorship for about a decade. No more Winston, Nextel, Sprint, Monster Cup Series for NASCAR. Next year there will be a tiered sponsorship and I have no idea what they will name the series.
The fields have been cut from 43 to 40 and races go off with 36-37 cars because they still can't get enough sponsers to fill every race.
You can't tell which cars are which anymore because, aside from having pretty much the same shapes, the paint schemes (wraps actually) change from week to week due to the lack of full-time sponsors.
Tracks have been removing seats because of low attendance.
The only good thing that happened to NASCAR lately is that Brian France is gone.

NASCAR would be so much more interesting (I might even watch) if there were
at least 2 right turns for a mininum total of, say 120 degrees per track.
Driving skill beats drafting skill.

There’s no joint where even the front door should be welded shut...Just smooth sheetmetal...No metal plate pop riveted where the door handle was...Like the saying goes...There’s nothing stock about a stock car...

Yamamoto was a big fan of America... That he was.
My point is, given Japan's success during the time as a land invader, what its plan might have included if Yamamoto had not told them there was a gun behind every blade of grass. As you point out, "they would have just executed him if he'd refused".
