Since they are in the southern part, probably good to be prepared. How is the boat faring?
Yes they were crucial after Harvey. They were a huge help there. The flooding was horrendous and they got to a lot of folks others couldn’t get to.
From what I’m seeing now, they might be much-needed along the coastal areas of the Carolinas. A lot of rain is coming down and the storm isn’t moving fast.
I hope there isn’t an evacuation order but they way things look, it’s a possibility. The projected path changed tonight.
I’m sure they are getting ready to make the trip if not already on their way. That storm just keeps getting worse.
Haven’t heard anything about the boat, but at least Dorian didn’t come ashore. Now they have to wait out the wind and any storm surge and hope she stays where she is tied up. I will wait to be informed, but things “look” a whole lot better than they did.
radu has been my source of information about “weather” in the area.
She should have a channel of her own. LOL! I could mod for her.
My guess is many are on the way by now.
Also guessing that the folks who work for various power companies who went to FL are on the move north now too.
They should be. Lots of people without power in the Charleston area. Lots of folks will help. It’s what southerners do.
Gypsy might get a little scraped up but shouldn’t be too bad. It depends on how much the wave action on the ocean stirred up the river around the marina. I hope it wasn’t too much.
It helps that that area of the GA coast ended up being the furthest from the eye as it passed than pretty any other part of the coast that it’s travelled.
How's everyone doing this morning?
Nope, no desire to have a channel. LOL
Steve keeps you pretty busy as it is modding for him. :-)
I just know Kathy’s busy and doesn’t have time to follow this storm and time is something I have. And with friends at various points all along the east coast, I’ve kept a close eye on this storm.
I’m glad you’re there to help keep her and others informed.
I guess one modding job is about all I can handle. Although this late-night crew has been pretty civilized. LOL!
Howdy, E.G.C. ((HUGZ))
Were you and Gizmo able to run around more freely than the other day or were a bunch of people around again?
I hope it was cooler than it was here. It was hot and steamy and not a good day to be outside. It still isn’t very comfortable even now.
Just glad I had the time to keep up with it. I know she was concerned.
Are you flying solo again tonight? If so, it’s a good thing they’re being civilized.
I am. Everyone else had to work tomorrow. The ones still there are being really good. Thank goodness.
I hope he shuts down before too long, though. I’m really getting sleepy. Just hate to leave him open....ooooo...I think he’s about to wrap it up. he read my mind!
Yep, he must have read your mind and closed shop for the night. It’s going to be a busy day ahead covering the storm as it hits the Carolinas. Better get a good night’s sleep yourself so you can mod again. :-)
We actually had the park to ourselves yesterday. Nobody around but me and Gizmo. We did run into some swarms of mayflies however and that made for a somewhat unpleasant experience but otherwise we had a great time.
Wow! Had the place to yourselves again? What luck!
Well, to yourselves other than those pesty mayflies. Having people around instead would have been a nicer option. LOL
Good morning EG ((HUGS))
WOO HOO you got 50!
Have a great day.
