Older Americans don't trust Warren's socialism to start with - throw this crap in and every senior will crawl over broken glass to vote democrats OUT of office.

The Democrats are going to propose taxing the EEEEEEVIL Rich more and using some of that money to INCREASE Social Security benefits. They won't have anything to fear from a senior revolt in that case.

Thank you for referencing that article karpov. Please note that the following critique is directed at the article and not at you.

"Her “Accountable Capitalism Act” would wipe out the single greatest legal protection retirees currently enjoy—the requirement that corporate executives and fund managers act as fiduciaries on investors’ behalf."

FR: Never Accept the Premise of Your Opponent’s Argument

Although misguided, institutionally indoctrinated Sen. Warren’s heart is arguably in the right place, she needs to get out of the constitutionally limited power federal government and try to get elected to a state office.

After she's holding a state office she will be able use 10th Amendment (10A)-protected state powers to conduct her socioeconomic experiments as the Founding States had intended for those powers to be used.

From related threads…

More specifically regarding Warren's constitutionally indefensible campaign promises, patriots are reminded that the states have never expressly constitutionally given the post-17th Amendment ratification, post-FDR era, unconstitutionally big federal government the express constitutional powers to regulate either INTRAstate banking or dictate retirement policy.

”From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added].” —United States v. Butler, 1936.

Note that Thomas Jefferson had clarified that the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had considered giving Congress the express constitutional power to regulate intrastate banking but had decided not to.

“A proposition was made to them to authorize Congress to open canals, and an amendatory one to empower them to incorporate. But the whole was rejected, and one of the reasons for rejection urged in debate was, that then they would have a power to erect a bank, which would render the great cities, where there were prejudices and jealousies on the subject, adverse to the reception of the Constitution [emphasis added].” —Jefferson’s Opinion on the Constitutionality of a National Bank : 1791.

Also, the congressional record shows that Rep. John Bingham, a constitutional lawmaker, had likewise indicated that the Founding States had left the care of the people uniquely to the states, not the federal government.

”... the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Federal Constitution, is in the States, and not in the Federal Government [emphases added].” —Rep. John Bingham, Congressional Globe, 1866. (See about middle of 3rd column.)

Justice Brandeis later put it this way about the unique, 10A power of the states to care for the people.

"It is one of the happy incidents of the federal system that a single courageous State may, if its citizens choose [emphasis added], serve as a laboratory; and try novel social and economic experiments without risk to the rest of the country.” — Justice Brandeis, Laboratories of democracy.

(Note that constitutional limits on states as laboratories of democracy is that states cannot establish privileged / protected classes or abridge constitutionally enumerated rights, and must maintain a constitutionally guaranteed republican form of government.)

So what happened to the power of the states to care for the people?

Using inappropriate words like "concept" and "implicit" here is what was left of 10th Amendment-protected state sovereignty after FDR’s state sovereignty-ignoring majority justices got finished with it in Wickard v. Filburn.

The remedy for the oppressive, unconstitutionally big federal government on our backs?

Patriots need to elect a new patriot Congress in the 2020 elections that will not only promise to support PDJT’s vision for MAGA, now KAG, but will also do the following.

The new Congress also needs to promise to work with PJDT to surrender state powers that the feds have been stealing from the states back to the states.

And to make such changes permanent, patriots also need to support PDJT in leading the states to repeal the 16th and ill-conceived 17th Amendments.

MAGA! Now KAG! (Keep America Great!)

Seniors know AFTER Warren pays the medical bills for illegals, college debt for students majoring in grievance studies, and various insane green energy scams... that there will be NO MONEY for Social Security.

They truly believe it's a wonderful thing.

And this is the result of parents allowing educators to scrub the history books to whitewash the evils of socialism.

Of the 45 communist goals for America as read into the Congressional record in '63: #17: "Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers’ associations. Put the party line in textbooks."

It's amazing that they've accomplished every single goal. What's more amazing is that they told us what they were going to do, and they did it without opposition.

Yep, that was disappointing. I'm going to the game against Houston in a few weeks.

This woman reminds me of an HOA President. On a big power trip that wants to tell everyone in the association what to do and how to think. She would probably fine a homeowner if they violate the regulation having your mailbox 12” from the curb. I envision her out their measuring, oops she found an 11 incher, she is coming after you!

For my husband and I we inherited over 2 million dollars about 3 years ago. It is just as stressful figuring out how to keep it safe for our retirement as not having money when we were young. In fact life was bliss when we were young and broke.

Everyone tells us to put it and our rental assets in a trust, it is one of the loopholes to government not getting any of your money in death. I don't think a trust will help if Merrill Lynch takes the pledge to be a fiduciary to "the community".

I was sharing on a private email earlier, if you have that kind of retirement income and assets, you should find a good retirement/investment advisor. I use First Command and I would recommend them, but you can use whomever you like. My advisor offers many free services including retirement planning/analysis where you can learn how to save many thousands over the long haul by knowing which retirement sources to draw on and when to keep your taxable ‘income’ at its lowest, and how to reallocate them between taxable and non-taxable investments. I am no expert, but these guys are and they are invaluable if you value your hard earned life savings.

The trust thing prevents costs of probate, but properly invested, any retirement account can have beneficiaries so there is no need for wills, probate, or trusts.

Good luck.

Your observations are on-spot.

I suppose one of the reasons why I am so pessimistic is that I spend a lot of time talking to young people and 90% of them have totally swallowed the Kool Aid.

They believe any propaganda that comes across their phones because it was provided to them by technology. They exhibit zero critical thinking. They have no memory of the USSR and hence no real frame of reference for the evils of Communism. Getting free college and healthcare and paid time off all seems just peachy to them.

If some way isn’t found to reach them, and fast, this nation is SCROOOOOOOOD.

Take out CDs in about 30 different banks, including a few overseas.

That way, if any one bank goes under, the rest is still safe.

Or, you could give it to ME donate some to FR...
