Exactly. The government of California is uding its power to take the land so it can “grant” to the state run corporation which “owns” the railroad.

It owns toxic waste sites, vacant lots and rental homes.

And now that it owns all this property, there are no property taxes generated.

Wow. So toxic waste sites get “bought “ immediately under the California central valley land dump (er, High Speed Rail) purchases, but real land owners get nothing?
