This is an abomination of justice... And if this man commits another crime... Dr. Sntoch Rai should be doing the same amount of time in prison as Mr. de Grood.

Insanity: it’s a liberal thing. Then they put the inmates in charge of the asylum, and empty the asylums so they can walk among us (and vote for more craziness.)

Gee, what could go wrong. I assume the judges don't live near this monster.

I knew this guys father, a Calgary cop. Good man, one of the nicest cops I knew when I worked with Calgary police (I was only in PR).
I cant imagine what he and his wife have gone through.
Still, doesnt change the facts of the case. I just feel for the parents.
But, yeah, the kid should be off the streets.

Insanity in whatever form should be reason for deferral of punishment, not a defense of a capital crime. Just sayin.

Interesting that no one has bothered to update the status of the case on Wikipedia.
It usually takes only seconds to report the death of a famous person on Wikipedia.

If someone like that were to settle anywhere near *me* I'd make sure that he had a fatal accident soon after arrival. You can't be too careful these days.

I liked the old “Judge Dee” books about the Tang dynasty judge.
If you were wrong and let a killer go who then goes on to commit a crime, you suffer the same fate.
