Elections have consequences. This must be news to the leftists of Seattle.

This is not the only city on the US West Coast with this issue. Portland, San Francisco, and Los Angeles are suffering from the same issues.

I equate it a bit to being a parent. Sometimes you just got to have some tough love to correct things. Seattle is to fixated on being nice. Nice isn’t going to correct things.

I lived in the Seattle area for 46 years and moved away in August of 2011. I was visiting there for the first time in a little over a year and was appalled at what I was seeing. Back when I lived there I called it a gold plated garbage can. Truth be told, it’s even more beautiful than it was - at least from certain angles. But those angles all involve looking up.

Meanwhile, I experienced something I’ve never experienced before, there or anywhere else. I was on westlake at the south end of Lake union, stopped at a light with several other lanes of cars, and a street person was walking in and out of the cars looking for money. And when the light turned green, He was a serious traffic flow problem.

That city has become such a pit. It used to be so beautiful.

BTW, I used to bicycle commute downtown for almost two decades. It was a fun challenge because the city is quite hilly. I was surprised to see all the electric scooters. They are common where I now work in Louisville, but this city is quite flat.

The same extreme-Left/Marxist city that serves as a sanctuary city/base camp for ANTIFA?

A great documentary of Seattle, called “Seattle is dying.” As a previous stated, this is happening to several cities.

I have seen video of some gas stations in Detroit that have every item behind the counter. You can’t even go in and grab a Snickers bar. Shame when it has to come to that. Compare that to Japan where people won’t even pick up a wallet on the ground because they think it is a violation of privacy.

This could make compliance with any gun grabbing attempts a bit more problematic.

Seems the gov't is manufacturing the Zombies for the apocalypse.....

If the man is not competent to stand trial, is he competent to actually live?

The answer is no, he is not

> Over the past three years, he says the company has suffered wire theft and the theft of their electric cargo tricycle for collecting food. <

The solution is simple. Keep on voting Democrat. And just buy replacement wire and replacement tricycles as needed.

Why do I always have to think of everything?

I remember some city where the convenience stores not only had stuff behind the counter, but had their counter space encased in bullet-proof glass to protect their employees from armed robberies. So the city made them take down the bullet-proof glass.

And in Philadelphia where they had bullet proof glass with all the items behind them, the city forced the store owners to remove it because it was “disrespecting” the “community”.

I can avoid going to those cities again. No need to spend my money there. I have spent many days in each of those cities and don't have any desire to go back. My last trip to Seattle was in late October. A woman, at a small reunion, violated the common sense adage to avoid politics and religious topics.
Upon realizing that I was a conservative, she game unglued and kept it up for an entire evening. I could not avoid her childish rants. For me, it ruined the event.
I had mentioned that I had AG Meese on a flight but only talked to the (armed) Secret Service men that were escorting him. Her reaction was to make faces like a kindergarten brat and then go off on how she hated Reagan and Meese.
I won't miss the west/left coast.

“...The Seattle Times wrote an editorial describing the report and calling on voters to make changes to the City Council...”

The only changes Seattle voters would make would be for the worse.
