Yes, WE are the nation.

But the question is, who are WE?

There are some dwindling remnants of the Americans we were, the moral, self-sufficient, hard-working, God-fearing people who wanted limited government and to be left alone to build families, succeed, and pursue happiness.

There are massive swaths of modern Americans who cheer at the murder of unborn babies. Who think 5 generations of dependent welfare recipients is a good thing. Who embrace the tenets of socialism. Who are easily persuaded to embrace enemies at the gate.

I love your optimism, but my point is that demographics is destiny and we are no longer the Americans you are referring to. We are rapidly approaching a tipping point where more Americans will either be European style socialists or corrupt 3rd world peasants. That is not a prescription to save America because we are no longer the moral, independent people who once built and long sustained this nation.
