44 Senators is already well more than enough on its own to avoid conviction and removal. There really is zero drama here.
The resolution, as I understand it, never had a chance of passing and was just for show, because all it takes is one Dem to vote it down anyway. (A resolution must be unanimously passed and doesn’t even then have any legislative power, as it is only passed by one chamber of Congress and therefore not given to the President for signing anyway.)
Round up the usual suspects.
As of last evening 46 had signed...there will be more. i’d guess Portman was one.
Mark them well.
Every one of these populist hating , unpatriotic traitors need to be primaried out and sent back to their respective elitist country clubs to commiserate with their lobbyists and donors who line their pockets with the fruits of influence pedaling.None of them represent the People.And they each intend to join Dem Senators in any vote to impeach the president, putting it much closer to the 2/3 majority required of 67.
