"Vladimir... For the fuel, for the mining rights, for the political influence in the hemisphere... We must show Venezuela that though the Americans are weak and spineless, WE the RUSSIANS will protect and defend them. WE represent strength! Continuity! Steadfastness! So, Vladimir... It is time to send them money."
"...And Vladimir, remember: to send the right message, it should be in American dollars."

They’re buying access to something... What? I’m not sure.

How much did Obama ship to Iran to keep it afloat - $1.5 billion? Or was it more?

Hard to carry water for a water barrel full of leaks.
Foreign aid cannot overcome hardship due to corruption.

Not a Maduro Fan, but not a Regime Change Fan, either. How many Venezuelans have benefitted from US sanctions, and money thrown at the Guaido Gambit to include the 70 million missing US taxpayer dollars that the Gambiteers seem to have absconded with?
The American model for freedom and democracy to install puppet governments, and loot resources benefits a handful of elite corporations. It doesn’t benefit most Americans.

AH, the greenback, the currency of the Realm! Euros, not so much.
To: CondoleezzaProtege
Hey Condolezza...why did you exclude this part of the article, which provides a reasonable explanation for the cash shipments.
While the money could be for any number of things like Venezuela repatriating cash held overseas or dividends from a stake in a Moscow-based bank or revenue from sales of crude or gold the complex logistical feat shows one of the ways President Nicolas Maduros administration has sought to skirt aggressive U.S. financial sanctions. As a consequence of the scrutiny, the central bank is conducting more transactions in cash, sometimes offering local clients access to euro bills.
Its almost like you're a propagandist intentionally trying to mislead the audience.

The Ruble is worthless outside of Russia. One dollar equals 64 rubles.

well they do need toilet paper in Venezuela

Russia is buying access for Venezuela to not produce oil, so that Russia’s oil is worth more.
And the people get starvation.
Every big Corporation pays the Govt to put its competition out of business, then says it is for a good cause. Pols have no money of their own, so they gladly take it.
