Either #1, being blackmailed not to do his job.
#2, was a willful part of the Derp State.
or #3, was utterly incompetent.
Whichever one it is, to think he deserves his old Senate seat after being the worst “Republican” Attorney General in a century, demonstrates a staggering level of cognitive dissonance.

He SUPPORTED kicking Trump out based on incompetence reasons.

I guess Sessions just does not understand that Pelosi’s criminality will shortly be exposed by Barr and Durham. She is fighting for her life, not the honor of the House.

Only a small group, and they have made no credible argument for his return. What he did until January 2017 was utterly obliterated by his tenure from onwards. I’m sickened to realize I thought both he and Mark Sanford had the mark of being Presidential timber. Trump has exposed the corrupt political class and so-called “reformist outsiders” who are just as odious and vile.

I don’t think it was #2, I like to think #1 doesn’t apply, but I’d give a qualified agreement to #3 — not utterly incompetent, just far too credulous and trusting, basically, in way over his head.

In which case, he should never hold office or any position of trust again. We needed a pro-active Attorney General, someone like A. Mitchell Palmer (probably my personal favorite Democrat AG, if not my favorite of all AGs, and is utterly hated by the left). Sessions couldn’t hold Palmer’s jock.

I pick choice #1. Although I don’t think there was anything specific that he was being blackmailed with. I think he was afraid that they would make something up.
