Excuse me? This has nothing to do with being weak-willed, or chickening out, or abandoning a principled position. Hallmark is a profit-seeking business, period. The ninnies are the abused-spouse conservatives returning for beating after beating, under the delusion that Big Business is their friend. As with Chik-Fil-A, corporate conservatism is a business plan -- and when the market climate changes, business plans are adjusted.

Kinda seems the Vegan Goddess’ complex has destroyed Hallmark.
Conservatives can complain, write angry letters and threaten to stop patronizing their shows all they like, but UNLESS they get HIT in their bottom line, nothing’s gonna happen.
It’s the same with Netflix ( which plans to show a GAY Jesus ) and Chick-Fil-A ( which stopped supporting the Salvation Army after being intimidated by the LGBT activists).
Gotcha! I’m from LA and the rest of my (American side) is in NYC so yeah. So for me culture shock would be everything in between! Haha

we can flesh out this little plot with a bit of Hallmark features...said professional lady, having lost her girlfriend to an illness that routinely kills inconvenient twenty somethings, and to compensate throws herself into work for an evil corporation, which sends her to her hometown to close down the unprofitable cookie factory, which is populated by quirky and impossibly nice folk...here she encounters her high school BFF, who runs the cookie factory and has blossomed into a gorgeous and, by strange happenstance, a gay female...conflict abounds, as the inevitable attraction forces a collision between love and business...
