They may not look alike but they're interchangeable.
The Wednesday debate was hosted by PBS NewsHour and Politico.
This is why President Trump is considering skipping debates.

Businessman Andrew Yang addressed the diversity of the 2020 Democratic primary field, saying he was disappointed that he was the only candidate of color at Thursday’s debate. “It's both an honor and disappointment to be the lone candidate on this stage tonight. I miss Kamala. I miss Cory, though I think Cory will be back,” he said, referring to Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.), who dropped out of the White House race, and Sen. Cory Booker (D-N.J.), who failed to qualify for Thursday’s event.

I’m surprised Yang is still in the running. I thought he’d be gone by now. This season’s roster of remaining Democratic candidates includes a remarkably large number of private sector people/non-politicians. Bloomberg is technically an ex-mayor, but he received no salary during his NYC tenure, and is better known for his vast personal fortune. Steyer bought his way in.
Yang, on the other hand, has no money to speak of, yet got enough donations and garnered enough support in the polling to stay in, despite zero political connections. Whatever you might say about him, he’s well-organized and nimble. A respectable showing by a nobody in political terms, who doesn’t have the personal funds to push himself to the front of the line. There’s probably a future for him somewhere in Democratic politics.

By the way Yang said he was the lone person of COLOR.]
On the stage. And Yang’s not really a person of color in the sense the media means, i.e. black. It’s pretty pathetic that a political insider like Cory Booker (ex-Newark mayor and sitting senator from NJ), and a big built-in voting block (blacks are ~25% of the Democratic primary vote) can’t get the poll numbers to qualify for the debates, but a rank novice with no money and no built-in political organization like Yang can.
