Yes. There are two crops in the winter season in Florida. If there is no damaging hard freeze there will be strawberries aplenty.
The Plant City strawberry festival runs about 10 days from the end of February into early March. This is the peak season, but there will be plenty available before then.
Too much warm weather is also bad for them. A good cold snap or two is needed to sweeten them up, but a serious hard freeze will destroy much of the crop. Tough business being a farmer.
The best strawberries come from Plant city, Fla.
The real reason for this is that the driver Blue Bell Ice Cream truck driver is now transporting strawberries too.
The mess boys ate them all.
Los Angeles.
I did what I don't like for other people to do. For example, people refer to the 'bay area' meaning San Francisco. I live in the 'bay area' but, it's Mobile Bay. The same sort of thing with LA. (irritates me)
Before they went with those two-letter postal codes, Louisiana was La. and there was no confusion with Los Angeles.
We have plenty in Plant City, FL
Yes. The Strawberry Festival in Plant City FL is in February each year.

I kind of thought you were probably referring to Los Angeles, but thought I would verify my suspicions. 8>)
Enough to drive a man to the brink :-)
I give this story a “300 Raspberries Award for misleading writing”.
I love strawberries. It must be especially tough to be allergic to them, but of course, they don't know what they're missing either.
I just finished eating some strawberries topped with yogurt. I buy several quarts at a time and freeze them so that I have them year round. I like to keep 20 quarts or more in the freezer at all times so I can play with the prices. Last year I made a gallon of strawberry win. It came out excellent, but wasn’t nearly enough. I also like to make a batch of strawberry jam. One low sugar for me, and a batch of regular to give as gifts. And then there simply has to be enough to mix with cream cheese for keto treats. Last year they were 99cents/qt. Which was wonderful. But I sure do miss those little bitty wild strawbereies we had growing wild all over the yard when I was growing up. Triple the flavor of the domestic variety and a ton sweeter too!
Colorado folks, I’ve found them in the mountains there, too.
Yes. Plant city.
Not seen any shortages in Strawberries blueberries, or Pineapples. I live in a small Berg Atoka, TN.
I was supposed to be headed to Ventura from Bakersfield for a meeting on Monday. Snow has had the 5 over the grapevine closed and it’s supposed to be snowing again in Lebec and over the grapevine Monday. Cancelled my meeting.
Yep. The lawyer should have punched out Keefer instead of just throwing the drink in his face.
LOL!
"Old Yellow Dye" indeed!!
