Good luck with It. SCOTUS would have to overturn two of its precedents to do it.

That is, if they even take it up.

Great!

Colleges are now more than 50% women.
Now they will have to give scholarships to men to make the balance 50-50.

Get ready for free college, guys.

Oh - and combat forces must now be 50% women. Go for it!

It may be the same old failed amendment, but this time around it is to be used to for “trans rights”.

To revive the ERA, the Supreme Court would have to reverse its 1921 decision in Dillon v. Gloss and its 1939 decision in Coleman v. Miller. That would set off complete and utter constitutional chaos. The Court won't touch this. The ERA is dead. May it rest in peace.

With the 19th Amendment, I agree with you there. I support allowing women to vote, but the push, state-by-state, to legalize women voting, rendered having a 19th Amendment unnecessary. Basically, some years after the actual ratification, all states, except maybe Utah, would have allowed it, IMO, and the U.S. would probably have allowed it by law in all of its territories and protectorates, as well as in DC.

This year, Virginia is expected to ratify the ERA, bringing the total number of states to have done so since its heyday in the ’70s to 38, the threshold needed for amending the Constitution.
Google why did the equal rights amendment fail
