They're now ID'd as Russian SA-16 SAMs which brought down the airliner, while possibly, the ones they shot at/missed our bases were from the NORKS.

It was reported (Raman Gavami) that approx 90 IRGC Commanders loyal to Soleimani have been arrested. Possibly they shot down the airliner intentionally hoping to blame Trump. But Trump did not launch a retaliatory strike against Iran. Soleimani has killed Iranian citizens in the past.
