The GOP Senate is the biggest bunch of cowards on the planet. They’ve been lying to us forever. First there was “we can’t do anything until we get the House”, so they get the House and then it’s “we can’t do anything until we get the President”, so they get the House and the President and then McConnell and Paul Ryan screws us. I’m sorry for Trump. He doesn’t deserve this crap. This country deserves crazy Bernie as President. AOC as speaker; and Warren the Indian as Senate majority. The Dems need 4 votes. Murkowski, Gardner and Collins is 3. Anybody GOPer that is doing this out of pure spite of POTUS and the 60 million Americans who voted for him.
If a United States Senate majority leader allows a junior senator from Utah to tip such an important issue it is on him. This not a farm bill being debated. This is a Stalinist Show trial of a GOP POTUS. This 100% a failure of leadership by McConnell.
I don’t think the Senators want to give up this golden opportunity to drag this out and grandstand and make campaign speeches for themselves, solicit donations, run up a nice dinner bill.
Trump’s defense, which was excellent, was all for naught. The blurry Times leak sunk it all without a trace. Just goes to show the dull, gutless, puerile minds illuminating some GOP senators.
