Trump is making a good argument for dissolving Congress.

***************

Congress itself is demonstrating everyday that it is a hollow institution which is simply taking up space and producing nothing of value.

Its frequently on recess and nobody even notices.

“...because it tells me Bolton has absolutely NOTHING to offer that would damage Trump.”

I think that is the right conclusion - he’s got nothing because there IS nothing. Donald Trump is not crooked and he’s not stupid.

In fact, it’s amazing how squeaky clean President Trump is proving to be... after the unprecedented scrutiny they have put him under...

While the Biden family and the other Lefties always get rich from influence peddling schemes, President Trump and his family work for free or pledge their salaries to a worthy charity - they are simply not out there looking to take advantage.

The contrast is mind-boggling. I am proud to say I climbed aboard the Trump Train way back in 2015, but I had no idea he would be THIS good.

One can only conclude that he took this thankless job purely out of a sense of duty toward his fellowman, and not for personal gain and glorification.

I love The POTUS but he sure is good at assuming loyalty in the disloyal.

UNLESS.... what you are looking at is a very well thought through trap that our 5D chess playing champion POTUS has set and is about to be sprung with perfection. I for one am prepared to wait this out and hopefully be entertained beyond my wildest dreams. I can't remember the presser where this came up but have not forgotten when PDJT said "I got them all".... It was cryptic when he said it but as I watch what is going on, it sure has me wondering.....

Reagan and most other presidents had the same "fault". Doing research on just about any presidents will reveal aides that disappointed, embarrassed, were disloyal, etc.

Big difference is that typically presidents don't air their dirty laundry on Twitter in real time for all to see. But I must say I have acquired a taste for Trump's tweets. Love to see his smack downs. Washington DC is a swamp and there are a lot of over-rated people there with big egos that need to be taken down a few pegs.

Bolton has proved to be little more than a chicken hawk.

Comparison between the Clinton impeachment and the Trump impeachment:

  • Clinton impeachment was over a crime committed by the president. Proven after the fact, but - let’s face it, in the grand scheme of things it was more symbolic that substantive. A few people were hurt, which is bad viewing it from a moral perspective.

  • Trump impeachment is over no crime, only imputed motive. And putting the worst face on the motive - motive for what the POTUS did not do - without respect to the law.

Republicans care for the law, and Democrats care against it.

The Righteous Mind:
Why Good People Are Divided by Politics and Religion
is a book by (atheistic) psychologist Jonathan Haidt. Haidt lists the moral foundations of conservatism (and their opposites) as
Care Liberty Fairness Loyalty Authority Sanctity
(vs. harm) ( vs. oppression) (vs. cheating) (vs. betrayal) (vs. subversion) (vs. degradation)

Haidt suggests that Liberalism has two strains - now called “liberalism” and “libertarianism” - which split about a century ago. The commonality between them, he asserts, is that both liberals and libertarians drop “Loyalty, Authority, and Sanctity” pretty much off the list. The difference between them being, in Haidt’s telling, that while Liberals emphasize care first and do not emphasize fairness, Libertarians emphasize Liberty uber alles, fairness second, and caring is no more on their radar screen than Loyalty, Authority, and Sanctity are.

In short, Haidt's description of the difference between “conservatism” and “liberalism” in moral terms is that

A liberal is a conservative

minus loyalty, authority, and sanctity.

IOW, Any conservative has to consider any liberal a cynic.

Liberal Cynicism
