The mayor, who is the figurehead of the government, blames “the government” for this failure.
There is only one cure for jihad.
It comes in a variety of calibers.
Like a noose?
It’s not “terrorism”, just “terror adjacent”. Somewhere in that general neighborhood.
“Rapid onset lead poisoning.”
No, he isn't. The policies he's criticising are controlled by national, not local government. Khan's office has no role whatever in national government. Khan's political significance is generally vastly overrated in this forum.
Thank you!! In the face of goodness-know-how-many times (1000? Certainly 100s) the misquote has been repeated here, those of us who from time to time try to point out the misquote feel pretty lonely, so it’s really welcome to have occasional reinforcements!
You do realize that Khan himself rose to prominence by being a legal defender of terrorists...right? And as a Mayor has trivialized the severity of terrorist attacks and has in fact attacked the people victimized and outraged as islamophobes?
He has no justification to attack a legal system that is doing exactly what he has promoted
He is not the entire government, that’s true. But he is a government agent, and one who continually defends and apologizes for murderous islime savages (being one himself). So his feigned umbrage at this most recent rampage is at best hypocritical.
Bookmark the thread so you have the links handy. Some day one of the misquoters will get into an argument with a loony liberal, throw that quote out and the liberal will make them look like a chump. We're helping them avoid that misfortune :-)
Government agent? Well, maybe different definitions are used in the US, but in the UK you can’t use that term for somebody who draws no authority from, and has no accountability to government. His only authority is from a local council, the Greater London Assembly, which has very limited powers over ‘strategic’ issues in the capital (public transport, air pollution, transport infrastructure etc - most local services like education, street cleaning, social services etc etc are delivered by the 33 London boroughs.)
As for ‘defending terrorists’, Khan has never done so and the belief that he has is based on a pandemic misquotation. See posts 11 and 13 earlier in this thread for clarification.
I don’t like Khan or his politics: but as Freeper Oshkalaboomboom says in post 11, Khan says plenty of stupid things on his own without having to make stuff up.
He hasn't. See posts 11 and 13 earlier in this thread.
