Joseph Cofer Black was one of Mitt’s top campaign advisors. He was serving on the Burisma board the same time Hunter was.
Cofer Black is also a former CIA official.
Even if you want to give the benefit of the doubt on this specific issue, he still had a close campaign advisor who was swamp deep in Burisma. There had to be advice given and decisions made based on this involvement.
