A Nico-Derm 21 or 14 patch is probably a lot safer, for the nicotine dose. I use one daily; no tars or CO. But I still like a few marlboros during the day, especially the first one in the morning with a fresh-brewed mug of Kona Hawaiian or Blue Mtn Jamaican Estate. At 70, it ‘s darn near as good as sex. LOL.

Gosh, I remember the diesel smell from city buses back in the 50s, when I rode for 5¢ each way, to the YMCA and downtown Huntington (WVa), as a kid. Haven't been on a bus since the late 50s.

I’ve been to Hanau on my way to visit ancestral homelands in a nearby town. There was definitely a Muslim presence there so no shocker here. There is now an Islamic market store down the street from the Jewish Museum in central Frankfurt, which tells you something...

I did my Cadet Troop Leadership Training with 4-82 FA in Hanau during the summer of 1990. It seemed a pleasant enough place back then, although we were warned about the growing influx of Turks at the time.

Do you have trouble with straws, too?

No, because when I use a straw I am trying to get liquid into my mouth. I do not understand how hookahs enable one to draw smoke though water without getting water in one's mouth.

Same principle. Remove smoke-filled air from above a reservoir of water, and air will flow through burning tobacco, through a tube whose end is submerged in the aforementioned reservoir.
