TRUMP should have done this years ago. Those farmers have been suffering for years due to cruel Democrats and Eco-Wackos.

California Democrats won’t allow Trump to destroy their environment because they’ve been trying to do exactly that since the 1960’s.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_Water_Fix_and_Eco_Restore

California Water Fix and Eco Restore, formerly known as the Bay Delta Conservation Plan, is a $15 billion[1] plan proposed by Governor Jerry Brown and the California Department of Water Resources to build two large, four-story tall tunnels to carry fresh water from the Sacramento River under the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta toward the intake stations for the State Water Project and the Central Valley Project.[2]

Each tunnel would be 150 feet (46 m) below ground, 40 feet (12 m) in diameter and 30 miles (48 km) in length. The tunnel project is as big or bigger than the English Channel Tunnel and Boston’s Big Dig. The project would also include three new intakes with a capacity of 9000 cubic feet per second (approx. 255 kilolitres per second) each, and a total annual yield of 4.9 million acre-feet.[3][4] The proposed cost for the tunnels is $15 billion, with $8 billion additional devoted to habitat restoration. The project was to be funded by revenue bonds created by the agencies who benefit, and paid by the farmers and urban water users who benefit from the project, not taxpayers as a whole, and thus not requiring legislative or voter approval.[1][5] However, an audit by the U.S. Department of the Interior released in September 2017 revealed that $50 million of the taxpayers’ money was funneled into the project.[6]

Pretty sure I was a drover in my other life....until I saw the drovers wintered down with the herd. Ain’t no way I’d make it through winter. LOL

Pfffftttttt! ANYONE can farm right mini mike?

No, it's true anyone can farm, but only someone with the knowledge and love of the land can successfully farm and grow food to feed America. Bloomy knows how to sell securities and sell computer systems and make billions, I give him credit for that, no idiot could do that. Buuuutt it takes a total political, condescending ass, to denigrate the backbone of America and belittle the knowledge, skill and sacrifice it takes to be a farmer.

Well Bloomberg has sown his seeds of scorn and I hope he reaps a bumper crop from them.

Our neighbors have a small dairy farm. Last one in the county. Last one in the next county over closed a couple of years ago.

It’s a hard life. They have to drive the milk to the processing plant themselves these days because the milk company won’t pick it up. They don’t even drink their own milk - the stuff at Walmart is cheaper than they can produce it themselves.

They’re getting close to retirement and their son probably won’t be able to take over the operation profitably. I don’t know how they do it day in and day out, in all kinds of weather. Twice a day, every day running the milking machines. Mending fences, chasing strays, moving the heard from pasture to pasture. Despite that, they’re always willing to help us out if they see a need.

Then there’s the equipment costs, repairs and maintenance. Most people have no idea what these people have to go through to put food on your table.

After reading you comment I too watched the 45 minute video.

Really inspiring as this man ‘pushes up people, our traditions and gives us confidence in the future’.

These simple measure to overrule the tyranny of government and the left/greens to control our freedoms are long overdue.

As one farmer said so well “promise made, promise kept” which I think sums up his presidency!

What did Trump sign? Is there an analysis or explanation of the details of how California’s water rationing system for farms will be changed??

To bad we can’t extend all the love and admiration to other well deserved professions and lines of employment.

Mini-Mike should try his farming advice here where I live.
Weeds thrive in the iron- & mineral-heavy soil.
Somebody should toss him a question about soil ph levels & watch his eyes glaze over.
Food crops here require extensive soil modification, or limit planting to red-dirt crops— and that’s where those dumb truckers burning fossil fuels come in.
How well & how far can we transport our food crops—which are perishable, btw— between states, using electric trucks?

Yeah, let’s put these Green idiots in charge at the top. We’ll have a crashed economy & mass starvation in one swell foop. Yay!

Well, nuzzlin’ joe mentioned high speed rail as one solution to CLIMAGEDDON last night. You know since it’s worked so well in other places. SMDH! Yes, they are that STOOPID.

I loved the one from the farmer who recently lost his dad. They had thought about selling, then President Trump was elected, and his father said we’re not selling now, we’ve got Trump.

Having the authentic and rough around the edges real farmers speak was pure genius. Sure they were vetted but I felt they spoke from the heart.

Mr. Trump talking about tax reform so you “didn't have to sell the farm” hit home.

I look forward to four more years of fresh air and common sense leadership.
