Three critical mistakes KT:
1) FBI showed up at your house and you talked to them. As soon as they identified themselves, you should have asked, "Do you have an arrest warrant for me"? and "Do you have a search warrant?" YOU control the conversation, NOT THEM. Simply be polite and say, "I'll be more than happy to help with your investigation and give you more information at my attorney's office. Here is his/her card. Please make an appointment and I'll see you there." BE NICE.
2) They came in?!?! You just nullified the search warrant and gave them consent to "look around" (or worse plant evidence (like ATF a machinegun auto sear in your son's bedroom)). DONT LET THEM IN! They are not puppies in the cold. DO NOT LET THEM IN!
3) I was all by myself. WRONG. You need RING, an inexpensive camera, and a cloud backup. Maybe an iphone with copblock that auto records to the cloud. ALWAYS record interactions with police, esp. on your HOME doorstep. Always.
Just rememeber. THEY are out to get YOU. THIS. IS. TODAY'S. FEDERAL. LAW. ENFORCEMENT.
I can’t believe that KT talked to the FBI especially after what they did to Flynn.
The history to counter that assertion is already being written. Obama and his racist wife will be portrayed as saints.

A few years ago, a friend in state law enforcement said to never talk with law enforcement without an attorney, except if it's purely social (saying hello to friend in LE, etc. ). I've tried to heed his advice.

A month ago the FBI warned Bernie that Putin was trying to help him. For some reason did’t go to the FISA court and get a warrant to spy on Bernie’s campaign and not inform Bernie. Apparently breaking protocol.

That is what I think is the point of this whole thing, and I cannot get why folks here are trying to criticise KT, when that is the real issue.
And BTW she wasn't even a friend of Trump. This is the deep state taking out more or less one of their own just to get Trump. However, she is competent, so I guess the deep state figured the sacrifice was worth it.

Arguably, that her "life went to hell" is enough to suggest they did take her down.
She may indeed have a legal means of recovering damages but, in any event, what about her fellow citizens?
Rhetorical questions:
If recovery is available, is it no more than a cost-effective "pay as you go" (with taxpayer funds) at the individual level, at least until the actors reach a level of success whereupon they no longer have to pay as they go?
What should it mean when we say: "We elect and pay people to give effect to our Constitution?

My uncle and aunt were FBI (they met on the job). Funny though, they steered clear of any discussion involving their work. Actually, even know that they are retired they still don’t talk about work.

5 years ago, I would have invited the FBI into my home, answered ANY questions they had, offered them a snack and a beverage, thanked them for their service and wished them a blessed day.
Today, it would be, “GET THE f@(* OFF OF MY PROPERTY!”
