Yes - this statement is 100% correct. I have speculated that Barr made a deal - the deep state let him get rid of Mueller in return for no other prosecutions.

Think about it - it is a very logical conclusion; this is the reason he has done NOTHING to restore the rule of law and is another Sessions.

President Trump needs someone who is not deep state/entrenched D.C. swamp for AG and needs to fire Barr.

I know, it is impossible to get a real MAGA AG past the congressional approval process. Perhaps President Trump could get McConnell to allow a true recess? (I know, when pigs fly). Then he could appoint a real AG - Tom Fitton comes to mind!

Barr’s “Liberal Democracy” requires a populace willing to live with limited government. Sadly, America’s no longer is.

I don’t know why Barr separated the French Revolution from the Greeks. What he is calling “Totalitarian Democracy” is as old as governance.

The conflict between these two views comes from the use of “Democracy”. In this “Temporal City” we need “things” as part of our existence. What is called “Democracy”, implemented as a vote among people, becomes a vote between those who have “things” and those who do not. It is not difficult to see how such votes go.

The structure of the Republic which embodied America’s government was created in an understanding of this. To the extent that we have left this form, veering toward “Democracy”, we have left limited government.

It would take a sacrifice people are unwilling to make, to return.
