Not to worry though: Within literally a minute of my post I received a high-hard (though well-deserved) "education" from several of my fellow Freepers. Ah, well ... getting old sometimes isn't all it's cracked up to be (though it has its advantages and, as my father often said, it's better than the alternative). Cheers!

Every FReeper that has been here for a 'short period of time' has made math mistakes, BUT, we don't have producers, directors, and flunkies feeding us every word or thought that we post.
Some other idiots had to be involved in that fiasco, it was not brian williams that put the copy of the tweet on the screen.
Some producer knew this segment was coming up, and I doubt that williams is even smart enough to realize the error, even after it was pointed out to him at a later time.

This “statement of fact” was blindly evaluated and accepted by Gay, Williams, the show producer, show director, and the graphics dept.....AT MINIMUM.
Williams, of course, is comfortable with stories of fantasy....which is why he’s on the overnight shift on cable, rather than the Nightly News.
Williams is surely exec. producer of this show (part of his deal in the demotion)...so he calls the shots and shall not be questioned.
I must wonder if the behind the scenes peeps were more than happy to let him make a fool of himself.
