I read there was a conference in NY (I think) in mid October to deal with Covid-19. It lasted 3-1/2 hours and Johns Hopkins participated in it, along with other entities. Weird, huh?

You are referring to a *mock* coronavirus Pandemic exercise called “Event 201”.
It’s a mock exercize using real world biz owners, med experts and global agency leaders.
Steve Van Doorn has been posting the link to the short version, on multiple threads. I watched it, today, and...it’s uncanny how what they ‘simulated’ in this ‘exercize’ sure seems to be playing out, exactly.
It’s put on/produced by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and, per Steve, Bloomberg.
Here’s the link to the hightlight reel version, h/t Steven....

“Sod off, Swampy.”
Extending your comparison...
Measles - I’ve been vaccinated.
Tetanus - I’ve been vaccinated.
Rabies - You can get vaccinated if you are exposed.
Pertussis - I’ve been vaccinated.
Smallpox - I’ve been vaccinated.
Yellow Fever, Diphtheria, Cholera, Typhoid, Typhus - I’ve been vaccinated.
COVID-19 - No vaccine exists and almost no therapy exists other than ventilators that are in short supply.
I watched some video yesterday of the conference you are referring to. At least I think it’s the same one. It wasn’t specifically about COVID, but a major outbreak of an infectious disease with similar parameters and death rates. It was a joint effort of industry, government, WHO and other entities discussing planning. It was rather underwhelming.
Trump wont be able to get ahead of him
Ya. Thats what I mean. People will continue underestimating him

By the end of the nineties, the textile industry crisis hit Prato severely and companies started closing down. Yet, the Chinese community kept growing. They started connecting to mainland China, offering the prized Made in Italy label. They diversified production by launching into garmenting and accessories. They enlarged the boundaries by reaching the frontiers of Florence (where the above mentioned protest took place) and entering the lucrative business of leather goods. Of course, most of them kept working illegally. The Chinese triad saw a business opportunity in this for human trafficking and launched a scheme whereby they sponsored workers to travel to Italy and work with no pay: a form of modern slavery. Participants were allowed to leave the system after working a certain number of years to launch their own activity. Many people were incentivized to come from China and work in awful conditions and soon enough, this created a small Chinese town in Italy. Today in Prato, you have 50,000 Chinese people out of which no more than 16,000 are registered (Guardian, July 2016.) Officially, the others dont exist!

Chinese people in Italy - Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chinese_people_in_Italy
The community of Chinese people in Italy has grown rapidly in the past ten years. Official statistics indicate there are at least 320,794 Chinese citizens in Italy, although these figures do not account for illegal immigration, former Chinese citizens who have acquired Italian nationality or Italian-born people of Chinese descent.
Thanks. Yes, Event 201 was what I watched. Seemed like lots of typical talking heads who like to hear themselves talk without saying much of any substance.

What they’re not telling you
Never Let a Good Coronavirus Go to Waste.
But despite the availability of such vaccines people still forego them for one reason or another. My point was it is not the fatality rate of Covid-19 that is creating such a reaction. For if it was every time there was an outbreak of any of the above we would see similar behavior. Stay safe and wash your hands.
From your list of immunizations I must ask if you served in the military. If yes. Thank you.
No, not the military. I worked as a power engineer overseas in remote parts of South America, Southeast Asia and three locations in the PR of China in the mid-70s. It was a HUGE list of vaccinations required to travel to those locations and there was only one place on the west coast where I could get them - the VA Hospital in San Francisco. I was a regular pincushion and didn’t feel very well for a couple days.
I took my daughters to Brazil about eight years ago and had to evaluate whether to get Dengue Fever. I had just turned 60 and it looked like the risk of the vaccination was higher than the risk of the disease, so I didn’t get it.
So Ive been trying for days to figure out why Italy got hit so bad. This afternoon some guest on Fox Business said Italy has a very large Chinese population and thousands of them had just flown back home to Italy after celebrating the Chinese New Year in China. Italy did not restrict flights from China like Trump did.
What happens when a couple of Costco worker are diagnosed at you local outlet???
When they get a vaccine ready they can designate first responders, MDs and nursing related hospital and medical office people........ and all leftist news media panel members.
Just the essentials for triage at first./s
Remember the swine flu pandemic of 2009-2010? It was caused by the H1N1 flu virus, which infected nearly 61 million people in the United States and caused 12,469 deaths and up to 575,400 deaths worldwide, according to the CDC. What were the lying media saying back then? Nothing even approaching their current bid to provoke mass panic, economic disruption and a negative view of Trump based on 26 fatalities to date from COVID-19, nearly all of them elderly or immuno-compromised patients. No one in the DMC accused Obama of failing to act quickly enough, even though his declaration of a national emergency did not come until after 1,000 people had died from swine flu. But then 12,469 deaths from the swine flu was actually on the low side of US death tolls from influenza since 2010, as noted above.
What about the rest of the world? According to the CDC and the prestigious British medical journal The Lancet, worldwide [s]easonal flu kills 291,000 to 646,000 people each year. That is, the greatest viral threat to human life on the planet, by many orders of magnitude, is and always has been the common flu, not any strain of coronavirus. By comparison, the more virulent but far less contagious coronaviruses causing MERS and SARS have claimed lives only in the hundreds worldwide with very few or zero reported cases after the initial outbreaks in 2012 and 2003, respectively.
