Something not computing there. That begins with another slipshod act of Attempted Journalism by ABC.

Another senseless drug-related death - The X-Police You are correct, in a way.
Without the War on Drugs we would not have SWAT units or No Knock Raids.
The WOD have changed Peace Officers in to Paramilitary Police.

From Linked in and various other social media profiles this guy was a Habitat for Humanity and My Sisters Place Volunteer. That is not a profile of a high-risk, "anti-government extremist." Why didn't the police statement describe how or why he was "prohibited" from possessing a firearm? Or did they just accept that a "Red-Flag" complaint said that?

The department's news release on Friday says tactical unit members were serving a high-risk search warrant around 4:30 a.m. when one of the unit's officers fatally shot Lemp. Police detectives recovered three rifles and two handguns from the home. Lemp was prohibited from possessing firearms, police said. Detectives were following up on a complaint from the public that Lemp, though prohibited, was in possession of firearms, the release says without elaborating.
Apparently, American law enforcement can now execute you without trial if you're sleeping in a house with OTHER people who can legally possess arms.
I'd feel really bad of anonymus people rubbed out the SWAT team and its supervisors in the department.

His doorbell was broken, so they thought the gunshot would get him to come to the door.

When that cop left for work that night he already knew he was going to kill something. He didn't know what, but it was just one of those nights when something needs to be killed. He was lucky and got him a "twofer". </sarc>

The cops said he was prohibited from owning firearms. At this point I give very little credibility to anything the police said.

That scenario is very probable because that’s how Leftists retaliate.

An independent investigation will probably determine how the shooting occurred. If its proven that a trigger happy officer is responsible, he or she should be held accountable.

Well, Maryland law enforcement officers, anyway, but that has always been the case in Maryland.

I mean, how hard would it have been to have a couple of uniformed officers at 7:30 AM (not Storm Troopers at 4 AM) knock on the door to inquire about the complaint? There was no emergency requiring a combat assault.

https://looserounds.com/2020/03/14/duncan-lemp/Maryland basically sent the Kings men to execute Duncan.Despite their claims, he had no criminal record that anyone can find. He didnt do anything other than own some guns that the sate of Maryland didnt like, and he posted boogaloo memes on his instagram and FB accounts.
This kid was 21 years old. He had no priors. no criminal record. The swat team didnt enter the house. The lawyer going after the judge who issued the red flag warrant exposed that they shot him though his window while he was sleeping with his GF next to him. She had to watch him die. And like always the body cam footage has been lost.
It is Maryland.
