The median age of the dying, reported yesterday, is 80.

They are usually not like that.
The photos I saw were clearly ward style bed set up in non standard rooms. This looked similar to the overflow hospitals in China.
The US will look like that in some places. Not everywhere. But some places.

I agree. We will never know the true death toll in China. They have gone into propaganda mode and refuse to reveal the true source or extent of impact.

Singapore is near the equator and so it is hot and humid most of the time. These are supposedly conditions that slow the transmission of the virus. It’s summertime there all year.

As of a couple days ago, new cases started flattening, meaning spread may have peaked. Deaths would be a lagging number as it takes time for the disease to kill the person. We would likely see more days like this and then as new cases drop (hopefully) the number dead would start deceasing.

DR. BIRX: Thank you. Thank you, Mr. President, Mr. Vice President. So, you know, we continue to look at data every single day. There are concerning reports coming out of France and Italy about some young people getting seriously ill, and very seriously ill in the ICUs.
We think part of this may be that people heeded the early data coming out of China and coming out of South Korea that the elderly or those with preexisting medical conditions were at particular risk. It may have been that the millennial generation, our largest generation, our future generation that will carry us through for the next multiple decades, there may be a disproportional number of infections among that group. And so even if its a rare occurrence, it may be seen more frequently in that group and be evident now.
