I am read several police department I basically not arresting and Just summoning people for minor crimes that would normally be arrestable, and trying to do certain reports via phone and email forms will be possible to avoid unnecessary contact, yet Commie Wolf Will waste precious police resources to enforce his anti-business shut down. Makes sense.

Almost all the small communities around me got rid of their small police forces over the last decade. The Pennsylvania State Police have been spread very thin the last few years. I know it takes 20-30 minutes for them to show up at my house.

I get that state governors in general have extraordinary powers in cases of emergency. But the actions need to measured... reasonable. If he simply shuts down commerce — even for a week — a lot of those businesses aren’t coming back and the jobs go with them. That after-effects begin to cascade thru the economy, or what’s left of it.

Time to consider how many innocent people may die from the social unrest that the governor is potentially unleashing.

1) They want us to convert to solar and wind crap.
2) Import it from China, or use your left hand.
3) Wear the dirties into the shower, and clean them before you shower.

If I was a small business owner in Pennsylvania that was forced by the government to shut down, essentially at gunpoint, I would be very tempted to send a letter to the governor stating how many days I could sustain his mandated shut down before it will be financially ruining. In that letter I will state that should the shut down last longer than those days in order to preserve what’s left of my business assets, I will be immediately liquidating the business and shutting the doors. It might be cold hearted, but I would also include a list of names and addresses of the employees who are about to be permanently out of work, and maybe a little bio about each one, assuming they were willing to do that and tell him deal with the mess he caused.

State-run liquor stores are open, but beer distributors are allowed open. Here’s the list, in PDF:

Years ago, we did an audio tour of the Seven Days Battles in VA, which was really interesting. Picked up a visitors map and a cassette at the visitors center.
