These natives in China and their cops are not keeping the 6’ separation rule.
I find that "simple complying" is the most disturbing event...

They are doing similar here in suburban Cleveland.
I voiced concern about this on our local PDs Facebook page when they announced patrols. I respectfully asked them to be mindful of the rights that were “endowed by our creator” while out and about in our community.
A resident replied to my comment that nobody’s rights were more important than the health of the community. Another told me to “not be an idiot”. Another resident reported that he saw landscapers out working and they “seemed to be” socially distancing, but he wanted the pd to know.
This just doesn’t seem to be the country I served and was willing to die for. Breaks my heart.
If we saw this in a futuristic movie, we’d think it was pretty awful. Now we’re living it and not many complain.
I agree. I have talked with other attorneys and we highly question the enforceability of these things.
Same here. I’ve been socially distancing myself for most of my entire life.
Giving it until about Mid-April. Then we party! (not really, but there is going to be some major grumbling)
It didn’t take much for these people to reveal their inner fascist.
Actually, they were always ready to grab power and control those folks who they scorn.
While the police are measuring the distance between people, criminals are laughing! They don’t care! They can take things from their eeeeevvvviiiil oppressors. They don’t have jobs, and if they get sick WE pay for their care, but can’t pay for our own.
It didn’t take long for that thin veneer called “civilization” to wear away, revealing the substrate of barbarism.

I believe there are some that are enjoying it. The shared misery, not the pursuit of happiness, crowd.
They can kill their babies, smoke pot all day and now they can take four months off with pay!
But somehow joy eludes them?

There was an article in the Albuquerque Journal today about how people aren’t “cooperating” with the government edicts and a number of comments about folks calling the cops on perceived “violators”.
These folks need the Pavlik Morozov treatment.

We are losing our freedom over the Chinese bat$hip soup death plague. And although is is going to over soon here and we will go back to normal, the new plenary powers assumed by the mayors and governments are now a tool in the bag, exercised once and certain to be rolled out again in a more virulent form.
