If they shut it down they can always just spin it as an extended “No Whiteys On Campus Day”. Then go to work on the NWCCU to get their accreditation pulled (if they have one at all).
No problem, you can get the same quality of education at Harvard.
That'll be good riddance -- the downside being that the touch-holes on the faculty will wind up spreading out like wild geese to intercourse up a bunch of other colleges and universities.
One of my high school classmates was forced (by his crazy proto-hippie mother) to go there for his undergrad thirty years ago. To this day, he calls it the worst experience of his life.
He also said that at one of the bars in town, over the toilet paper dispenser in the men’s room, was a sign: “FREE TESC DIPLOMAS—TAKE ONE”
A college that doesn’t even offer degrees. That doesn’t believe in testing or grading. That has no formal curriculum.
It’s not an institution of higher learning. It’s a hippie drum circle.
Complete waste of money for anyone but Woodstock refugees.
Last year’s graduating class?
I guess this means the white professors will be banned from campus permanently. Pity.
“Last years graduating class?”
Class of 82.
Good. Evergreen has been a Marxist training/brainwashing shithole for decades. Almost like “The Lenin School - West” (along with UCLA, Berkeley, LA).
Trotskyite Stephanie Coontz (Socialist Workers Party) was Evergreen’s leading feminist teacher/writer. Suspect she wasn’t the only “commie on campus.”
If other colleges and universities were wise, they would pay attention to what happened here.
This was an organized effort to be as destructive as possible in making a statement.
They would have done much better if they were civilized and pragmatic and took responsibility, instead of “doubling down” which is a horrible expression and is NOT a winner.
It’s ironic that small private schools often try to keep students on board usually by grade inflation, crip courses or other “loose” standards. I have taught at two such small schools and keeping enrollment up was always a goal.
It seems somewhat unusual that a state school has budget problems and is losing students.
Teaching at a large university for 3 years proved to be the opposite. We needed to thin the freshman herd because there wasn’t enough room in the higher courses. We had to flunk a minimum of 10% in the common exams (grading on the curve if needed). Usually, we had enough who were either too damn dumb to study or willingly volunteered for the party life and readily flunked.
The sooner this excuse for an institute of higher learning closes, the better.
Yeah! DLTDHYOTWO
With that background at Evergreen, she would be considered the token “conservative”.
Is this the same Evergreen College that has a sports team called the Geoducks, named after a clam? I hear creating the team was a move so unpopular that the students actually protested against it.
Wasn’t the movie P.C.U. based on Evergreen?
There is no certainty. A left wing indoctrination center is eschewed by incoming students and therefore must perish
