no. they were delivered to her house.
The cooperation between the US & China on Ebola and the current situation with Coronavirus is apples & oranges. First, the Ebola outbreak originated in Africa. China is investing heavily there, so it made sense for them to take this very seriously. For Obama... well let’s just say it was a racial-thing and leave it at that. I’m not sure that any other president would have acted differently.
The Coronavirus cuts the other way for China. Now they are in a trade-war with the US. But more than that, information is tightly controlled there for political reasons. The knee-jerk reaction was to arrest the doctor and have him sign a confession. The rest of the world was depending on China to get a handle on the outbreak and to get the word out. Instead they tamped it down, minimized it and criminalized it.
An “The Atlantic” trivializes the differences.
China is sending contaminated (with Covid-19) test kits around the world, and used face masks.
Also, hand sanitizer bottles with cute pics of Panda bears and Chinese writing probably saying, Use this and die Yankees!

Go to Amazon and ask for hand sanitizer.
The Atlantic author ignores that the Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated the dictatorship in China cannot be trusted on the matters the author suggests the U.S. and China should be cooperating on, in Africa. The author fails to realize that the people of Africa will develop the same lack of trust with the Chinese dictatorship, in time.
Commie Chinese will never forget Chosin Reservoir.
One, the WHO is useless. It has shown itself to be nothing more than a spokes-entity for the CCP.
And if you really want to practice epidemic prevention, ban travel to and from China! After we send Peter Beinart there.
It's true as we see reflected in daily news reports.
Always has been. It's amazing anyone pays him for the drivel he produces.
I am not going to read that crap.
The headline should read “China Has Cost Thousands of American Lives”.
You know, the Atlantic used to be readable. Yes, it was always liberal, but much more moderately than it is today. And, occasionally, it would have an insightful article or two. I have always tried to be open minded and to read different points of view. But, today, we are so polarized that everything on the left, in particular, is inflexible, intolerant, and anti-American. Today, the Atlantic, a formerly reputable publication, is just trash.
Considering most of the world hates us(but boy do they want to come here) I say FTW.

China owns our media Lock, Stock and Barrel.
They really would not have forgotten it had Truman followed MacArthur’s advice.
Blah, blah, blah.
Beinart is the author of the book The Good Fight: Why Liberalsand Only LiberalsCan Win the War on Terror and Make America Great Again, published in 2006. Beinart argues that, paradoxically, the only way for America to distinguish itself from the predatory imperial powers of the past is to acknowledge its own capacity for evil.
His book, The Icarus Syndrome: A History of American Hubris, published in 2010, “look[ed] back at the past hundred years of U.S. foreign policy in the baleful light of recent events [and found] the ground littered with ... the remnants of large ideas and unearned confidence [as demonstrable in] a study of three needless wars”, World War I, the Vietnam War, and the Iraq War.[8]
In his 2010 essay “The Failure of the American Jewish Establishment” in the New York Review of Books, Beinart argued that the tensions between liberalism and Zionism in the U.S. may tear the two historically linked concepts apart. He argued that by abetting Israel’s occupation of the Palestinian territories, American Jewish leaders risk alienating generations of younger American Jews who find the occupation morally wrong and incompatible with their liberal politics. He expanded on this argument in his 2012 book The Crisis of Zionism.
Beinart has warned that greater military engagement against ISIS could be detrimental to America.
In a 2018 essay in The Atlantic, he wrote that Trump voters care more about murder by illegal immigrants than about the cover-up of the president’s affairs. He also wrote in 2018 that there is rising authoritarian nationalism in many countries with diverse situations. The conditions include both booming and poor economies, with only some concerned about immigration. He said the true common thread among right-wing autocrats is both a hostility to liberal democracy and the desire to subordinate women.
Beinart also attracted criticism for proposing that America secure peace in East Asia by allowing Mainland China to take control of Taiwan.
She contacted the FBI, correct? So what does she think?
That is why I like Texas-Mexican food.
