I use CPAP. I cannot really imagine it would take the place of a ventilator...or would it?

“The non-stop barking from the press about ventilators as if they were the cure is totally misleading. They are, in most cases, the end of the line.”
And hydroxychloroquine is keeping them off.

How far would you go? Well, lets just say you have one foot in the grave. Spending a time on a ventilator reminds me of the Indian saying:
One shot, nice shooting. Two shots, well, maybe.
Three shots, missem buck.

(Socialism is cynicism directed towards society and - correspondingly - naivete towards government.)

If a Hemolung device can feed oxygen directly into the heart, it might save patients by creating a more efficient process of oxygenation
Like a dialysis catheter, the catheter of this device is placed close to the heart to enable high blood flow through the device, not to "feed oxygen directly to the heart". The red blood cells are still the oxygen carriers.

This makes sense. NYC Doctor Cameron Kyle-Sidell’s YouTube presentation today says the ventilator protocols need to be changed as the pressure they provide causes patients death. Anoxia is the problem.(p) The therapy noted in this article makes absolute sense
