This isn’t worth a separate thread but I wanted to insert into one of these COVID-19 discussions my belief that vitamins, especially D, are good immunity builders and have seemed to be a factor in my own avoidance of flu over many years. I don’t go to the extreme of saying it will provide immunity, but it may both lower your chances of contracting the virus and also reduce the severity of the outcome if you do anyway. I would imagine this is not news to many, but if it helps even one FRiend, why not share the info?
Yup. I agree. Depending on the latest daily briefings, I send several notes a week to Trump.. And yet here, it’s Yak... yak... yak... and there’s no evidence that I know of that FReepers have sent notes to the White House.

I noted that Trump made a point of praising Fauci and Birx at the briefing today. He cast his lot with them, and can’t be seen as overtly backing away now. He may try to escape their grip in the weeks ahead, but he’ll be publicly praising them all the way, it’s the politically smart thing to do.
for example, he said several times that his “open the economy” committee will include medical people, so hopefully he can’t get dilute Fauci’s standing by getting some competing medical voices into the mix.
He had better damn well expect it by the end of June.
Is this all about stopping Trump’s huge rallies? Stopping fundraisers for him?

Trump has chosen to make Fauci front and center in his daily briefings. If Trump had any misgivings about that he could have simply continued to have Fauci serve behind the scenes but not allow him to be present at the briefings. Trump has not done that.

I think it’s a friends-close-enemies-closer kind of thing. Also, have them make their insane statements; have them own their insane statements. When he’s right, and they’re wrong ... winning.
