"Careless customers" are "probably the biggest threat" to workers right now, according to Marc Perrone, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers' union.

Was in two Walmarts and an Albertson’s lately. It would seem the employees are pretty careless themselves. They have directional markers on the isles now, and several workers I came across were going the opposite direction of the shoppers. Only about 1/3 were wearing face masks or gloves, and many were standing around gabbing well within the “minimum safe distance” of six feet, or getting closer to the customers than recommended.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m simply not nearly as worried about this crap as I probably should be, but it would be nice if they observed the same rules as they set out for us.
