The SNOWFLAKES in The UK & elsewhere would “have a HISSY FIT” if they knew that here in Texas (and in about HALF of the US states) that licensed citizens CAN/DO carry concealed or unconcealed firearms into most EVERY building, whether public or privately owned.
Personally, I carry my 9mm handgun in an ON-THE-BELT holster virtually all the time, unless I’m going to the Post Office.

There is no rational reason to carry a rifle to a statehouse unless a shooting war has already broken out.
