It be a cultural thang....you would not unnerstan’..
That racisss Bell Curve rears it's head once again.
[Baker and Dunbar allegedly stole more than $7,000 in cash along with several valuable watches including an $18,000 Rolex watch, a $25,000 Hublot, and an Audemars Piguet timepiece, according to police.]
Gee whiz.
Well, I’m sure they weren’t influenced by gangsta rap or using some controlled substance.
Right now, I’m sure they did it because of Global Warming. And Covid-19. And Confederate statues.
I suppose it’s possible the Russians hacked them, too. We’ll have to wait for Don Lemon to do a report.
“New York Giants cornerback Deandre Baker...”
Deandre, that’s Scottish isn’t it?
You can take the thug out of the ghetto, you can’t take the ghetto out of the thug.
From the article.
Police said that one witness told them they had met Baker and Dunbar at a party a few days earlier in Miami — at which the NFL players had “lost” around $70,000. According to TMZ, Baker and Dunbar lost the money in high-stakes card games and other forms of gambling.
That was a good enough reason for OJ to commit armed robbery, too.
I’m sure Joy Reid will have a segment about them and how it’s all the white priviledge structures fault.
Maybe football, from major college to pro, needs to die.
No longer a fun game.
I avoid the agita by watching horse racing. You’ll never hear of a horse busted for beating his spouse.
I guess for some that being temporarily out of a well paying job means go out and rob someone to fill in the lack of cash flow.
Really “the sorrow and the pity”.
Why don’t golfers or pro-bowlers turn into robbers? They can’t play right now.
lol
I just don’t care about them or what happens to them at all so I guess that’s why it’s easy for me to watch :)
They’re like gladiators. If one dies, you get another :)
Oh yes!
Pro Football can die, but leave College Football alone.
College Football is sacred.
One turn on the trail, and that’s where it leads.
College football is the breeding ground for NFL thuggery. I am watching a documentary on Aaron Hernandez that shows how he could do pretty much anything he wanted, including murder, and he was protected by Urban Meyer. From the time he was a standout high school player until the day he got arrested for murder in Massachusetts nothing was too outrageous as long as he produced on the field. The odds of his experience being unique are zero and these 2 thugs are just the latest example.
How did they steal the watches? Right off people’s wrists? Or were all the watches in a pile somewhere while everyone took showers?

Conversely, there is the example of former Bama QB and Miami Dolphin signee, Tua Tugavailoa.
After signing his contract, Tua purchased his mother a Cadillac Escalade for Mothers Day. He is also setting up three charities in his present and past homes: Hawaii, Alabama and Miami.
Im not just saying this because Tua was a Bama phenom. He truly is the exception to the thug types who permeate the NFL.
Bama Coach, Nick Saban, has so much love and respect for Tua that he considers Tua to be another son.
Quinton Dunbar made $2.9 MM in 2019.
Deandre
Since when did they let girls in the NFL?
