You know that claim is bullsh*t. You know very well that Arbery deliberately ran at the man, and that's why he took a shotgun blast into his hand instead of his chest. Arbery would have been instantly dead if that had been the man's intention. He was shot in the hand because he was reaching for the gun.

There were three shots. The first depending on what you read was to the hand. The mistake Arbery made was grabbing a shotgun and trying to pull it away from the holder. A semiauto will go off every time he pulls it if the holder has his finger on the trigger.

In a nutshell, Arbery was a dumb ass.

Nope, the defendents hunted him down for at least 4 minutes (the length of the fuller chase & murder video) and tried to illegally cut him off several times -one of the killers even admits the idiot the idiot who recorded their attack joined in that attempt.
In the video you can clearly see the moron with the shotgun very quickly charged at the victim with his weapon, going from the left of the truck where he was standing in the street, to the right side of the truck, where he attacked.

“...hunted him down...” Might just be a weeee bit hyperbolic. They went after him likely intending to hold him, if necessary at gun point, while waiting for the police to come and investigate.
