The problem with charging them with the most severe crimes is that juries won’t convict on them. They can charge them with crimes against humanity to shut up the rabble, but no jury will deliver guilty verdicts.

Exactly. That’s what happened in the Trayvon case- the dumb prosecutor went for M1 (premeditated) and tried to paint Zimmy as a racist on safari, hunting for dark meat.
If she’d gone for Manslaughter which IIRC is defined as life lost which could have been avoided in the chain of events (IOW the 911 dispatch told Zimmy to stay in his vehicle, cops were en route) then she could have gotten a conviction.

It is good in the sense that what working remotely hasn’t done to these cities the unruly mobs will - they will lose even more commerce and wither even faster.
