Our knee-jerk reaction causes those who view themselves as non-political to instinctively think to themselves, "Hmmmm, the lady doth protest too much, methinks."

I suppose there could be an isolated white extremist somewhere; I don't know any.
I do know that every Democrat voter claims that President Trump is a white extremist.

But building on your thought: Can you cite the names of a half-dozen national figures that you know to be white extremists?

Now that they've blamed "white supremacists" for the looting, "white supremacist" just means, "anything bad" like how some Islamists will use "Jew" or "Zionist"
Now, if you want to tie that one person to Joe Biden or George Soros or the ghost of Robert KKK Byrd, fine. I'm all for that. I just don't understand why we feel it is incumbent upon us to disprove that person is taking part or is responsible for what's going on.
White supremacist to us means some loser who sees merit in the political philosophy and actions of Adolf Hitler.
White supremacist to the average leftist means anyone right of the center-left political mainstream so therefore the Trump voter support base.
They can’t just come out and say “Trump supporters” played a role in these disturbances, but the allegation is shorthand for saying that, and what that tells me is, white liberals are now into a sort of intellectual death spiral, first their model nation China deliberately infects the entire globe with this nuisance virus just to get a bit of petty revenge for imagined slights, then they have to put up with Joe Biden, obviously a mental defective, as their only possible alternative to Trump, and to make things worse, in the middle of a huge economic slowdown, they can’t find one place that turned cold enough to justify rattling on about permanently closing down the economy, so their brains have fried, now they see Trump supporters looting stores and burning police cars.
I think it’s the last stage before a sort of mass conversion experience where people finally realize their foundational belief structures are nonsense and their opponents were right all along (way right, like extremely right).
Or maybe they are just plain stupid, I mean, they can’t be learning anything useful at those colleges they run, look at the names of the courses they teach there. Is any of that real? Half the words have only existed since they made them up ten years ago. Nobody knows what they mean. I defy anyone here to explain to me what the intersectionality of an ambiguous gender milieu is.
