My old man, Airborne, WWII, twice wounded in combat, would look at that picture and have quite a lot to say...

... ESPECIALLY the part about not bringing weapons... and the two broads...

I do not like this. Involving Servicemen/women. I still remember what happened when they threw the National Guard in at Kent State. I remember how they were persecuted, hounded, and tormented by the politicians for years. I don’t want any other Americans being subjected to that. But I am a minority of one.

Chuckle.
The 82nd can’t defend themselves in an active war zone?
You are going to need to read up on the 82nd.
Any battle between the 82nd and ANTIFA will be over in 5 minutes. After which ANTIFA will be burying their dead for months.
I want ANTIFA to start a fight.
You see, I want as many of the m’f*ers dead as possible.

Ah yes, the “Bonus Army.” I forgot about that incident. The Smithsonian series “America in Color” has some good footage of that.

Yeah, Kent State did not work out well with the pub. I like the result from the Newark Riot better. And they got no bad pub for it.

1968 Washington DC Riots...

Washington DC was/is a special case as it is designated as US Army Military District of Washington D.C.

MDW HOME - Alert status Header

A cordon sanitaire, using the Washington Beltway as the barrier check point against outsiders joining the rioters in the city, manned by NG and local LEOs. DC Stadium was the mass arrest holding tank. Federal Airborne troops occupied the Federal Triangle and picket zone around the White House where APCs as well as jeeps with pintle mounted Ma Deuces...these remained beyond the four day shutdown. I was stranded on the Virginia side of the Potomac for that time. Watched the pillars of smoke rising from the windows of the office tower in Rosslyn. BTW the published casualties numbers were much less than the actual ones.

When thugs burn down our homes, homeowners insurance won't cover the damage.

If YOU don't have a special rider on your homeowner's policy they won't even pay to have the rubble that WAS YOUR HOME hauled off.

(It's time tell Biden and Nancy and Schumber to denounce the thugs and stop the 'protests'.)

Did President Eisenhower wait for Governor Faubus to request assistance before sending in the 101st Airborne?

Since Governor Faubus was heading the unlawful obstruction of the authority of the United States then no, he was not consulted. There is numerous federal laws that allows the president to act under those circumstances. And that is not the case in Minnesota or any other state, as well you know.

Ah yes, the “Bonus Army.” I

Yes.
And those guys were WWI veterans, some of them heroes.
If we can use the military against veterans, it should be a no brainer using the military to smash ANTIFA who are clearly terrorists.
We really need to crush these guys.

My Company although not Airborne was attached to 82nd. I have seen and been involved when 82nd and 101st get together.
I would like to see them(one company each)sent to the outskirts of a hotspot and tell them meet in the middle!

“There is numerous federal laws that allows the president to act under those circumstances.”

It sounds like you are saying there are numerous circumstances where a president can send in federal troops without the request of a governor.

This is quite different from your earlier claim: “They’re not going anywhere. They can’t be deployed unless the governor requests federal troops and he isn’t going to.”

China is doing this.

We are at war with China economically, culturally and military wise.

Economically with China and the 1 way trade deals that deindustrialize the United States and moved 90% of our manufacturing to China and the Communist E.U. The Wuhan virus was released in Communist China, and had China locked down for a month in a half. We have been locked down almost 3 months The projections of millions dead was way off intentionally to destroy the Trump booming economy.

Culturly China now owns 4 of 6 big Hollywood box offices. They produce a lot of shows in Communist China, then have it made by American Directors from box offices that are funded by China.

We have Big Tech that is owned by China. They are censoring conservatives, Patriots, Constitutionalists and even the U.S. President. This is even though they are not suppose to do it. Which is why they are tax free. Social media is the new Open Square to the world or what is called public platform where everyone has a say. If they start censoring, then they are no longer a tax free platform that has legal liability. They become a Publisher (since they censor) that is taxable, regulated, will be broken up.

Military wise they have sent troops in Hong Kong to shoot protesters and send them to Chinese Concentration Camp which is a violation to what they agreed to do. Hong Kong is now threatening to take Hong Kong and invade Taiwan.

China is now funding proxy Armies here in the U.S. via ANTIFA and BLM. This is why President Trump is going after all the communists spies. Many are in our Universities, Hollywood, the government, etc...

It sounds like you are saying there are numerous circumstances where a president can send in federal troops without the request of a governor.

And there have been from as early as the Militia Act of 1792 through the federal laws that Eisenhower used - Title 10, Chapter 15, § 332 through § 334 - and no doubt laws passed later than that. All grant the President the power to act when the local authorities refuse to or actively block federal law.

This is quite different from your earlier claim: “They’re not going anywhere. They can’t be deployed unless the governor requests federal troops and he isn’t going to.”

Well if you can point me to what federal law or what Supreme Court decision that the Governor of Minnesota is refusing to enforce or is blocking the enforcement of then I might agree you have a point. Otherwise you're comparing apples and oranges.

My son-in-law is in the 82nd. Say only MPs would go and no orders yet. Nothing said about weapons. Also, Fayettenam was wrecked by rioting.
