When did the pulse stop? Is that on video? Was he connected to an EKG?
I’m not so sure the Cop gets convicted. Plenty of evidence to defend him for sure. I think the officer killed him, but having heart issues and apparently heavily abusing drugs at the time will be a factor.
We know that one of the officers said “I can’t find a pulse” with 3 minutes to go, and “Should we turn him on his side?”, but the senior officer ignored them.
The Prosecution and ME said they did. We'll see what the jury says.
Regardless, hundreds of cops across the country are faced with uncooperative suspects every day. Almost all of them manage to get their prisoner to the station alive and kicking. These four couldn't manage that.
I see it as having a stroke to one whole side of the brain. This stops blood flow to the brain stem which controls breathing. The effect of blockage to the right carotid artery that supplies the right vertebral arteries to the brain stem can cause paralysis of the lungs.
2 other people were in that car that day...nothing happened to them...did what they were told. Dont resist arrest...i learned that at age 14-15 or so...

Absolutely wrong. While people tend to use race and ethnicity interchangeably, human/homo sapiens is the genus. There are 5 acknowledged races within the genus. There are various ethnicities within each race. Race is not a colloquialism, any anthropologist or forensic doctor can identify race by looking at your bones.

If the cop does not get convicted, dozens of cities will go up in smoke and those jurors will know it. He will be put away from decades as he should be.
Tasers are a great option with agitated people who are not heavily intoxicated. But in many cases, tasers save lives and injuries.
At best 50/50 with alcohol, much less with PCP.
Turns out he had just snorted a speedball, which is really, really deadly er, stuff. Doubt a taser would have been of much use.
Here’s the thing: the juries are going to get to see all of the evidence. Body cams, witness and officer statements, radio traffic, paramedic’s statements, use of force experts, and on and on.
The optics are terrible, but the jury will get the totality of the circumstances, and this is not an open and shut case for all four. Chauvin is probably toast, but with the charges upgraded to what MN calls “Murder 2”, if he has a really good lawyer, he has a chance. BTW, the elements of MN’s “Murder in the second degree” are:
1 causes the death of a human being, (meets element)
2 without intent to effect the death of any person, (meets element)
3 while committing or attempting to commit a felony offense other than criminal sexual conduct in the first or second degree with force or violence or a drive-by shooting; (Hard sell)
When did the lawful use of force turn into felonious assault? At what precise moment did that happen? Before or after they called for fire? There’s plenty for a good lawyer to work with here.
Matters not at all for the court of public opinion, matters a lot in a court of law.

Very true. However, I saw hatred and race division today at Floyd’s funeral and it wasn’t coming from whites or the police. I was sickened when I heard Floyd’s moronic nasty young niece say in her eulogy, “
“Someone said make America great again. When has America ever been great?” And while she was spewing this hatred, the woman behind her was doing the black power fist”.
Now that’s what I call unifying, and I’m supposed to mourn for this family? I would like to ask her, “did you think America was great when Obama was elected twice? But if course, we know where this hateful black child learned her venom, don’t we?

My issue with it is, how are they going to get a jury to sit for it? And, most importantly....what happens when Chauvin and the rest aren’t convicted of what Ellison brought down, if at all?
I’m thinking this case will go to trial quick. Some time in the fall, right before the election. If the mob doesn’t like the results, we start all over again right before the elections.
Some very sinister folks pulling the puppet strings right now. Anyone that is on the fence, independent, moderate, etc, should be taking a good hard look at what is going on, what is being exposed, and who they’ve voting for all these years. Not just by these riots and protests, but all the things that are still going on in DC and elsewhere.

What cop of any color would kill another man in broad daylight knowing that there would be lots of people taking pictures and videos?
Both were working for a nightclub that was a front for the cartel.
