and then he had a heart attack....sorry, he brought about his own demise...never get a conviction, especially with this ridiculous 2nd degree murder charge.

The democrat controlled media delberate miss portraying the six foot seven inch 200 plus pound Floyd as an innocent black who was being forceably restrained because he was black. When He was legitimately arrested for passing a counterfeit $20 dollar bill he was resisting arrest and was a threat if not secured but the media was not mentioning his size or reporting that Floyd was removed from a squad car because he was acting up under the influence of drugs and also later was discovered to have COVID 19. Which suggests his physical condition may have led to his death which the media turned into a murder change and a charge of serious abuse by police because of police efforts that were tried to get him who under control. The results of politically induced miss reporting incidents where blacks have resisted legitimate arrest began to be used earlier during and after the post Zimmmerman trial, then on to the Ferguson episode. Obama’s abuse of the “bully Pulpit” which seemed to promote that action of resisting arrest led to black gangs attacking non blacks found innocently traversing black neighborhoods and to a score of murders or life changing injuries and later attacks of theft and vandalism on local businesses as well as attacks and murders of police officers during that period

Wow. What is your agenda? To reflexively blame the black despite the clear video of murder shows a grotesque lack of humanity.

The struggling ends when someone puts a knee on the back of the neck, and as seen in the photo, no where near the windpipe.

This case has NOTHING to do with any other case. There is no relation to anything that happened anywhere else. Your agenda is showing. Murder is murder - period. Don’t excuse it.

It doesn’t matter what he died of. The cop was. it trained to continue the technique for 5 minutes after the perp was limp and incontinent You are trying to defend the indefensible

"This isn’t going to excuse what the cop did."

That's up to the jury.

knee to the back of the neck is something they've been trained to do and how many other cases have lead to the death of anyone?

yea none in MPD or else we'd know about it.

Maybe it was the drugs caused it. That's what courts are for right?

So stop spouting off about humanity and murder

you have someone violently fighting cops in the back of a car, pulled out, properly restrained and held down per MPD training, who was also heavily intoxicated on a drug that causes ODs very easily if not careful, along with a bad heart and Corona as a cherry on top.

It's not going to be easy to prove 3rd murder.

Look it, the very day before the DA came out and was saying he didn't know if the evidence could support a charge and all hell broke loose on social median and in the media. Less than 24 hrs later... like magic a murder charge.

Wake up.

Have you ever had to retstrain someone who was high and violent? I can tell you that “going limp” is an old trick to try to get you to release your hold.
If Floyd did show medical symptoms such as opening his bowels then that should have maybe caused a change in tactics, but it certainly wasn’t pre-meditated, calculated murder.

Yes I have. Going limp briefly fine. Limp + incontinence + 5 minutes is over the top. It doesnt even require the cop to take a knee off the neck to have someone check a pulse. It is at least manslaughter. The murder charge might be a overreach I don’t know enough about the cops training one legal definitions to say on that one.

He wasn’t suffocated. Read the final autopsy. A heart attack killed him.

Minneapolis police procedures allow a knee on the neck if the arrestee is resisting arrest and violent. https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/28/us/george-floyd-knee-to-neck-excessive-force-trnd/index.html

It appears that is what was going on here and that Floyd was violent and resisting arrest.

Add to that the fact the autopsy says the knee did not cause harm, and you basically have NO case.

No proof a heart attack killed him. There was no clot in one of his obstructed coronary arteries indicating an acute MI Even if it did the cop knelt on his neck 5 minutes after he was unresponsive without checking his condition. Why do so many people want to defend the indefensible?

For sure. The tactical and sanctioned knee placement used ensured he could breathe.

I would guess if you check the MPD take down procedures, there is mention of, 'make sure not to place knee on windpipe,' which in this case, was followed.
