MO (My Opinion) says ASS (Asymptomatic Spread Supposition) can not be proved or disproved because it is not practically measureable. It was created as a terroristic threat to keep us at home far longer than our common sense would have allowed.

I live deep in flyover country, we were largely uneffected by this, except for the government offices. They were closed.
I managed to get the marriage license in spite of that (knew the locals) and we postponed a honeymoon trip to Louisiana for seafood and fishing. That will come later. Probably missed the mudbug crop for this year.

Asymptomatic means they had natural immunity that allowed them to recover from the virus with no symptoms.
I do believe the virus has mutated. It may be less infectious now and milder in symptoms. But I think the biggest factor, the virus season is over.
Healthy doses of bright sunlight kills it.
Look at weather maps, those areas where there is often clear skies, hot weather and less dense population had very few cases.
Too many coincidences. This crisis was planned. It will come out.

They have inflected their damage so now they can retreat to regain some credibility. They and the UN are two entities that are not needed.

How, exactly, are they doing that? If people aren’t sick and not seeking treatment, then how do the authorities know that they are asymptomatic cases?
Frankly, it doesn’t seem possible.
Random testing.
They follow those with antibody positive tests with location of active symptomatic cases.
I’m sure it is not as scientific as a lab test, but it is statistical.
Wide Testing in Iceland gave high result of asymptomatic case, I suspect it is really over 50% in some countries.

Nobody said 3 million. There was one model early in the pandemic (when most of the information we had was either lies from the Chinese or data coming in from hot zones in Italy where the hospitals were overwhelmed) that said if absolutely nothing changed at all (no change in behavior, no protective measures whatsoever, no social distancing, literally doing nothing about the novel coronavirus), uncontrolled spread could result in as many as 2.2 million deaths in the US.
2 things changed since then: we got actual data on the mortality rate to replace China’s lies, and we changed behavior which slowed the spread (talking here about social distancing; the lockdowns don’t appear to have done anything good at all). It’s simple math really. They assumed (based on the R0 numbers available at the time) 81% infection before herd immunity and (just under) 0.9% mortality rate. That means 267 million Americans catch it and 2.2 million die. If we use the latest CDC numbers based on what’s been observed in the US over the past three months, we can expect the actual numbers (assuming no vaccine or improved treatments) to give us around 231 million infected before herd immunity is reached and 600,000 - 750,000 dead. Again, that’s assuming no vaccine and no improvement in treatment. So that initial model isn’t actually that crazy. It looks crazy because it’s based on some early data that wasn’t refined and it looks at the whole pandemic from start to finish. We’re looking at the first 3 months alone and assuming that’s all there will ever be. We’re at 113,000 dead now, probably about 143,000 by August. If this picks back up again in the fall/winter, those numbers will begin to rise quickly again. Hopefully we have a working vaccine available by then. I know President Trump is pushing hard for that behind the scenes and working to make sure it’s available to Americans as soon as possible.

If you aren’t coughing and use good hygiene, you won’t spread it as easily. Stands to reason.
But then again, this is the WHO, who’s agenda has been to cover to China’s negligence in allowing this pandemic to start in the first place.
That would explain it, but I don’t think there has been that much random testing in the U.S. I’m aware of the systematic antibody tests done by Stanford University in Santa Clara County; LA County; and with the Major League Baseball employees in 27 cities. It certainly has not been widespread. Right?
Actually, pandemic planning was going on a long time before anyone ever heard of Covid-19. I once worked on the government’s pandemic planning/response team. We had meetings about pandemics fairly often.
I accept that.
