It is not hyperbole to say they are one more loony Mayor away from a dead city. I really don’t see how they can survive another 4 or 8 years of this. The same may be true (albeit to a lesser amount now) for the statehouse.
I don’t see any positive change in the future of New York and fully expect that more and more people will flee the city and the state. The frightening thing about this for the rest of the nation is that they often take their “politics” with them changing the electoral college map significantly.
This has already been provably demonstrated on the West Coast and in South Florida. It is political cancer.
Mark my words. While I think there are many potential sparks on the horizon, the match on the powder-keg of America will be when a democrat congress and President bail out the failed liberal enclaves where public service workers enjoy 100k plus pensions on 20 year retirements.
The rural states and those who were fiscally responsible in “flyover country” will be extremely angry. Many of our largest cities and a few of our deep blue states are on a collision course with economics.
